WTF is up with these series that make me cry?</li> </ul> <h3>Fandom</h3> <p><a href="https://fanglitch.space/@Magess/109525872515529840">Some fucker is publishing other people's fanfiction on Amazon</a>. I feel sorry for people who'd get suckered into paying for fic that's available for free on AO3, but I'm fucking horrified that someone thinks it's perfectly fine to <em>steal fic off AO3</em>! <em>And publish it</em>! <em>For money</em>! </p> <p>There is so much wrong here.</p> <p>Anyway, at the link above, there's a call for help to identify the authors so they can file DMCAs.</p> <hr /> <p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/AO3/comments/zsgt6v/is_ao3_blocked_from_being_displayed_in_google_in/">Google is blocking AO3</a> in Germany due to pressure from the German government over some new 'protect the children' legislation.</p> <p>Don't use google, people. <a href="https://duckduckgo.com">DuckDuckGo</a> is <em>right there</em> and you can use <a href="https://duckduckgo.com/bangs">bangs</a>, which are really nifty. Check out the <a href="https://duckduckgo.com/bangs?q=ao3">AO3 bangs</a>!</p> <h3>Social Media</h3> <p>There is so much twitter fuckery going on at the moment I can't keep up. TL;DR elon banned mastodon, masto urls were apparently malware, then <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/2022/12/18/tech/twitter-ban-social-media-links/index.html">any competing social media links were against the rules</a>, and then they weren't, also 51% of twitterers told elon to go away and now he's quitting but probably his investors told him to get the fuck out cos he's just doing crazy shit and haemorrhaging $$$.</p> <p>I'm finding it hard to fathom why anyone is still using that site, to be quite honest.</p> <h3>Website Updates</h3> <p>Removed fandom.community from the <a href="https://bloodwrites.neocities.org/links/#mastodon-instances">Big List of Fandom Mastodon Instances</a> because it's shutting down.</p> <p>Redesigned <a href="https://bloodwrites.neocities.org">the site</a> because now I'm posting fic there I noticed the reading experience was Not Good.</p> <p></p> <br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=bloodwrites&ditemid=12667" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> comments
